hike to paradise

hike to paradise

We go to a far away place 15 hours from our place to seek the adventure our souls long for.
A place serene to profess and confess.
To a road less traversed, to a sea less paddled.
As we sail the calm sea in the morning, the sun illuminates down the bottom of the clear water.  Starfishes and sea urchins and colorful fishes remind us that we are one with earth.
The rocks and white sand on the shore, our eyes and hearts feast.
For in our daily ordinary lives, we see less of this natural beauty.
Humans for generations forget to appreciate because of greed and hunger.

One day, humans will inhabit this secret place, to stain the color of this sand, to strike this coral, to kill this tree.  And everything today will just be a memory.
And so I pray for storms and strong waves to guard this place and keep this holy.

As we ride the boat to the biggest ocean, we are humbled by its prepollence.  My son laughing unknoweth of the peril the strong waves provide.  We pray that we die not on this day, and felt the angels hold our lives.  Life....... we beg for it on that every moment as the strong waves came wanting to crush us.

The next day, we look at Sierra Madre, beautiful as it is, full of trees and vines and mystery.  We then cross the mountain with prayers, lots of it.  That she may welcome us in her bosom, in the waterfalls of love.  The birds  chant to let us understand the enigma.   That behind the mystery, is another mystery, that for all Sierra Madre's life, there is a secret place behind, kept between her and the ocean.  We were there to witness such beautiful prodigious secret.  Providing us fresh water from her vein to replenish our thirsty souls.  A paradise!
